First Date Do's and Dont's

When you have gotten a date with someone there are some do's and don'ts to ensure you have a successful date. Firstly you must always be on time, never leave the other person waiting as this may seem like your not interested and would be a terrible way to start. Always involve them into the conversations so that they feel comfortable around you, if you always talk about yourself they will get the wrong impression. You may not be vain but being nervous will make you talk and talk about anything. Another topic that you must stay away from is your past relationships, no one is interested in hearing about your ex girlfriends/boyfriends so don't even mention or bring them up. One thing that is bound to come up is the dredged silence, nothing is worse when you cannot think of anything to say and you both just sit there in silence. Make sure you have semi planned what you could talk about to keep the date interesting and alive.

If they tell jokes you are best laughing at them as jokes can be a great ice breaker, even if you have heard it before or didn't find it funny a quick laugh wouldn't hurt anyone and make them feel more comfortable being around you which will help you get that second date. When the other person is talking be sure to actually listen and take an interest, ask them questions to find out more and it will make the date flow easier. When asking them questions, try not to go into too much detail about their personal life. You don't know where there comfort zone is so it's always best not to intrude on their personal space. When thinking of places you can take them try thinking out of the box to make it unique, nothing is better than having a date to remember! Of course, you should also beware the online dating scams.

Always act yourself so they get to see the real you as you would hate for them to take an interest in you then back off after you become comfortable and yourself around them. If you go out for a meal have some manners and at least eat with your mouth closed and try not to order anything messy. Thanks them for coming after to show that you genuinely enjoyed the date and that you would like to do it again sometime. One of the main factors to ensure is that you don't start talking about future events such as marriage or kids, this would surly make them change there number and never see you again.
